Make a component checklist
Keep the manual alongside a list of removable parts. Mark which can be washed by hand, which the manufacturer permits in a dishwasher and which belong to the electrical body. Never infer one component’s washing method from another component’s label.
For example, Breville’s BOV900 manual calls for unplugging and cooling before cleaning and prohibits immersing the body, cord or plug. Its accessory guidance recommends against dishwasher use to extend accessory life. Those directions belong to that oven.
Dishwasher-safe is model-specific
COSORI describes the basket and crisper plate on its current dark-gray CAF-DC601-KUS TurboBlaze listing as dishwasher-safe. That does not establish that the electrical unit or an aftermarket insert can go in the dishwasher.
When comparing models, include the practical wash-space question: does each permitted part fit your sink and dishwasher arrangement? An easy-to-remove drawer can still be inconvenient if you cannot comfortably wash it.
Separate food hygiene from appliance maintenance
USDA’s food-safety guidance calls for clean hands and cleaned and sanitized preparation surfaces. Do not place cooked food on the plate used for raw meat.
Our cleaning checklist separates food-contact utensils, preparation surfaces and appliance parts so each receives its appropriate treatment. Follow the appliance manual for cleaners, drying and reassembly; do not borrow a general sanitizing instruction for an electrical cavity or coated part.
