Width is only the first counter measurement

bella Pro Slim documents an 8.22-inch closed width and 14.37-inch depth; Instant Vortex Plus 4QT documents 10.1 by 13.1 inches. Both meet the existing ≤12-inch width screen, but they use different counter depth and advertised basket volume. A narrow space may favor bella’s width while a shallow counter may favor Instant’s depth. Compare both dimensions and the front drawer envelope before buying.

Instant Vortex Plus ClearCook 6QT has 11.8-inch documented width but a 14.9-inch depth and a six-quart basket. A model can pass the width criterion and still be awkward in a shallow location. The checker separates a stored body fit from manufacturer-sourced operating clearance; missing clearance is unknown.

The operating-space question cannot be skipped

No width threshold certifies hot-air ventilation, under-cabinet use or room to open a drawer. The exact manual determines rear, side and top clearances and outlet placement. User-measured counter space and an appliance exterior measurement alone are not enough to claim safe operation.

Compact appliance names and advertised volume also do not reveal usable single-layer area. If one repeated food must fit without a second batch, measure its footprint and compare the actual basket shape. Keep models with unknown height or clearance in a separate unresolved set, rather than marking them as fitting.
