Ninja vs COSORI air fryers: choose the exact layout and model

Compare documented US Ninja and COSORI baskets, split capacity, component claims, cleaning and support without invented test scores.

Start with the exact cooking layout

Ninja and COSORI both sell single-basket and divided layouts, so the brand name alone does not answer the kitchen question. For one undivided basket, Ninja AF141 is listed at 5 advertised quarts and COSORI CAF-L501-KUS Pro LE is also 5 quarts. AF141 lists Air Fry, Roast, Reheat and Dehydrate; the Pro LE source includes food presets, Preheat and Keep Warm. Choose by the functions you actually use and the area your food needs, rather than treating the longer preset list as measured cooking superiority.

At larger sizes, Ninja AF181 has one 6.5-quart basket, while COSORI CAF-DC601-KUS TurboBlaze has one 6-quart basket and CAF-P583S-KUS Dual Blaze has one 6.8-quart basket. The extra advertised volume is not a tested portion count. Ninja AF181 has documented exterior width and depth in our record; the two COSORI basket records lack reconciled exterior dimensions, so a strict counter-space limit cannot honestly certify them from the shared catalog.

Do not add split capacities into one big meal space

Ninja SL401SD DoubleStack is listed as 10 quarts across two 5-quart baskets. COSORI CAF-R901-AUS has 9 quarts across two 4.5-quart baskets. Either can separate a main and side, but a large single item still has to fit one compartment. A total-quart comparison can therefore make the wrong model look larger for a particular meal. For a broad undivided cooking space, compare an actual one-basket model or the documented flexible-divider design instead.

COSORI CAF-TF901-KUS TWINFRY is recorded as a flexible 9-quart layout with two 4.5-quart zones when divided; Ninja’s SL401 is two separate stacked baskets. Choose flexible division if one wide item and two-setting dinners are both frequent tasks, provided its exact manual confirms the configuration you intend. Choose the stacked two-basket arrangement when separate compartments are the priority. We have not measured usable base area or cooking uniformity for either.

Materials claims name components, not a brand-wide safety result

Ninja’s FN101ST CRISPi record identifies a glass cooking container and reports the manufacturer’s PFAS- and PTFE-free statement for that glassware. The larger DD101PK1 has two 4-quart glass containers. COSORI’s TurboBlaze source instead describes a PFAS-free ceramic nonstick coating on the basket and crisper plate; TWINFRY and Iconic have their own component statements. A glass container and a ceramic coating are different constructions, and none of these statements establishes that every part of either appliance is uncoated or safer.

The COSORI CAF-R901-AUS manual names an aluminum metal basket with a nonstick coating but does not specify the coating chemistry in our record. Ninja AF141 and AF181 likewise lack component-level chemistry statements in this catalog. Unknown chemistry is not evidence of a hazard. Use the component source and exact model number when comparing materials, and avoid brand-wide “non-toxic” rankings.

Cleaning and support can break a tie

Ninja AF181’s listing says its basket and crisper plate are dishwasher-safe; COSORI CAF-DC601-KUS says the same about its basket and crisper plate. The CRISPi FN101ST record describes dishwasher-safe accessories, while cleaning terms for some larger Ninja and COSORI models are not established here. Read the exact manual for which part may be washed. A removable-part statement never applies to the powered body.

The COSORI records include official manual links for CAF-DC601-KUS and CAF-L501-KUS; Ninja and COSORI each have official support destinations. The shared parts inventory confirms a Ninja AF141 replacement basket by exact part number, while many other model-to-part mappings remain unknown. If long-term replacement access matters, check the official parts finder for the particular model before buying. No brand reputation, warranty service outcome or failure-rate comparison is inferred from these links.

A shortlist for three different decisions

For a compact one-basket start, compare the documented Ninja AF141 exterior footprint with COSORI Pro LE’s 5-quart feature list, then measure the food surface you need. For a separate-main-and-side layout, compare one 5-quart SL401 compartment with one 4.5-quart CAF-R901-AUS compartment. For a glass-container requirement, inspect the exact CRISPi version; for a documented ceramic coating requirement, inspect the exact COSORI basket claim. In every case, the comparator and countertop checker can expose known differences and leave unresolved dimensions unknown.

A checked manufacturer destination is not a current offer or evidence of better value. Check the merchant’s exact variant, delivered total, condition and return terms yourself. Both brands have multiple US model numbers, and a named family or regional version should not be substituted without verified identity. Our recommendation method is based on documented suitability for the stated task, not affiliate compensation or an unperformed hands-on test.
